     To Κέντρο Λαογραφίας ήταν κύριος συνδιοργανωτής του Συνεδρίου προς τιμήν της αείμνηστης τ. Διευθύντριας του Μουσείου Ελληνικής Λαϊκής Τέχνης Πόπης Ζώρα με θέμα «Λαϊκή τέχνη: νέα ευρήματα-νέες ερμηνείες», που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Νέο Κτίριο Μουσείου Μπενάκη (2-5 Νοεμβρίου 2006).

     Το Συνέδριο οργάνωσαν: Το Μουσείο Μπενάκη, το Κέντρον Ερεύνης της Ελληνικής Λαογραφίας της Ακαδημίας Αθηνών, η Διεύθυνση Νεότερης Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς – ΥΠΠΟ, η Ελληνική Λαογραφική Εταιρεία, το Εθνικό Ιστορικό Μουσείο, το Λαογραφικό – Εθνολογικό Μουσείο Μακεδονίας Θράκης, το Λαογραφικό Ιστορικό Μουσείο Λάρισας, το Μουσείο Ελληνικής Λαϊκής Τέχνης, και το Πελοποννησιακό Λαογραφικό Ίδρυμα.

Ταμίας του Συνεδρίου ήταν ο ερευνητής του Κέντρου Ευάγγελος Καραμανές.
