     To Eλληνικό Mουσείο της Ελιάς στα Καψαλιανά Ρεθύμνου Κρήτης, στεγάζεται στους αναστηλωμένους χώρους του ελαιόμυλου της μονής Αρκαδίου, που οικοδομήθηκε το 1763 από τον ηγούμενο Φιλάρετο. Βρίσκεται στο κέντρο ενός οικιστικού συνόλου χαρακτηρισμένου “υψηλής πολιτιστικής αξίας” και του ιστορικού ελαιώνα του. Την επιστημονική επιμέλεια του Μουσείου έχει το Κέντρο Λαογραφίας. Το κτηριακό συγκρότημα, που αποτελεί έκθεμα το ίδιο, περιλαμβάνει το Κελί του μοναχού-οικονόμου, τον χώρο παραγωγής του 1763 που παρέμεινε σε λειτουργία ως τις αρχές του 20ού αιώνα καθώς και τον φρουριακό χώρο αποθήκευσης. Το Μουσείο είναι αφιερωμένο στη μνήμη του τόπου και στην πολιτιστική κληρονομιά της ελιάς και του ελαιολάδου.
