Απεβίωσε, πλήρης ημερών, η λαογράφος Ροδούλα Σταθάκη-Κούμαρη και η κηδεία της πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Γαλαξίδι την Παρασκευή 7 Μαΐου 2021.

Η Ροδούλα Σταθάκη-Κούμαρη γεννήθηκε στην Κηφισιά στις 10 Φεβρουαρίου του 1925. Σπούδασε Γερμανική Φιλολογία και από το 1946 προσέφερε τις υπηρεσίες της ως Εθελόντρια Αδελφή Νοσοκόμος του Ε.Ε.Σ. Το 1952 αποφοίτησε από τη Σχολή Γραμματέων στη Βέρνη (Ελβετία) και το 1953 εγγράφηκε στο Τμήμα Μελισσοκομίας της Γεωργικής Σχολής στο Μαρούσι. Εργάστηκε στο Υπουργείο Προεδρίας Κυβερνήσεως (1955-1957), στον Ελληνικό Οργανισμό Τουρισμού (1957-1959), ενώ διετέλεσε (1960-1962) και ιδιαιτέρα γραμματεύς της λαογράφου Αγγελικής Χατζημιχάλη. Το 1962 φοίτησε στη Σχολή Ξεναγών στην Αθήνα και έως το 1988 έκανε ξεναγήσεις εντός και εκτός Ελλάδος.

Από το 1974 διετέλεσε επιστημονικός συνεργάτης του Ναυτικού και Ιστορικού Μουσείου Γαλαξιδίου ενώ το 2000 μετά την αναδόμηση του κτιρίου του μουσείου ήταν υπεύθυνη της επανέκθεσης των Ναυτικών και Ιστορικών συλλογών. Μετά το 1981 υπήρξε επιστημονικός συνεργάτης του Ιστορικού και Λαογραφικού Μουσείου Ρεθύμνης, όπου ανέλαβε την τακτοποίηση των συλλογών του. Έχει δώσει πολλές διαλέξεις κυρίως στη Χ.Ε.Ν. Αθηνών με θέματα σχετικά με την Νεοελληνική Χειροτεχνία, αλλά και σε διάφορες πόλεις της Ελλάδος και της Γερμανίας σχετικά με λαογραφικά θέματα. Οι πολυάριθμες δημοσιεύσεις της αφορούν κυρίως την λαϊκή τέχνη της Κρήτης και τη ναυτική πολιτεία του Γαλαξιδίου. Έχει δημοσιεύσει βιβλίο για τα κεντημένα κρητικά ψωμιά και συνέβαλε στην ιδέα της δημιουργίας του Μουσείου του Άρτου στην Αμφίκλεια Φθιώτιδας από το Κέντρο Λαογραφίας.

Δώρισε στην βιβλιοθήκη του Κέντρου Λαογραφίας συγγράμματά της και στην Μουσειακή συλλογή του, τη συλλογή της με καλάθια απ’ όλη την Ελλάδα.
